Windows XP is not asking for username and password on startup?

This specific morning, my Dell Latitude E6500 was frozen/hanged therefore I pushed it shutdown by simply pressing that shutdown option for concerning 5 minutes, (I complete same if freezes.)
After it was completely shutdown, I pressed the beginning button which is normal same as before but not asking pertaining to username and also password, After all logon screen is just not appearing.
So my personal computer security is at risk
Can everyone help the way to appear that will logon screen
