Why do I have a bald spot on the touch pad of my laptop?

that pad is definitely grey women and men spot is usually black, the type and model of my personal forefinger.does it should be repaired

no.the place on this touchpad seemed to be grey after that turned african american now is actually completley bald and seems as if a efficient computer chip/circuit table.I believe its just wear & split.
