Watch TV Streaming

It is not necessary to have a tuner card to watch TV on your PC.  Many chains offer some of their emissions, or even their full flow on the Internet.  In addition, some providers of Internet access (Free, Neuf and Club Internet does not name them) offer more or less complete, the ability to access television via ADSL from a PC.

 In the same vein include MyFreeTV reserved for subscribers to Free, but offering an advantage over its competitors:it is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.  Its interface is not as successful only with his competitor is not found, for example, even the intelligent management of the favorites by dragging, and the software simply called VLC in a separate window, not receiving the full-screen interface, very practical, ADSL TV.  However, the side cross-platform is an undeniable and more software is highly functional watch and record TV via Freebox TV.

 For Mac users, CocoaJT is an excellent equivalent.  Again, the software offers a wide selection of programs:JT TF1, France 2, France 3 and TV5 are part, as emissions of Canal + as 7 Days in Groland, or Week of Puppets, as well as Info British channels (BBC News), Canadian (CBC), Iranian, Belgian, or Chinese.  The software also offers access to several radio stations.  Note however that it requires prior installation of the component Flip4Mac WMV to play Windows Media content with QuickTime as well as Real Player.

 Television peer to peer

 Let us conclude this overview by a technique which should reach one day the release of television channels:peer to peer.  Several programs exist, including Sopcast and TVAnts.  Here, the principle is the same as for download networks:the higher the number of users offering the same flow is important, the better the quality of broadcast.  At the same genus, we can also cite PeerTV which offers the best of both worlds by offering access to Web TV streaming broadcast “classic” channels and distributed via P2P.
