Three quarters of the time the threat comes from inside

The majority of risk comes from inside a company.

 Referring to the recent scandal of fake emails, the speakers recalled the figures of the cabinet ISCSA:”Despite all the attention to intrusions and viruses, there is 72% chance that the computer be successful attack from inside next time.  ”

 As has been emphasized at this European Computer Audit Control and Security Conference, these attacks are also more serious consequences, since an employee can have access to more systems, and a longer time.  The motives are more varied:financial gain, but also curiosity, revenge, etc.Measures against such crime shall, according to the speakers, move from one part by actions taken by the HR department of the company, to strengthen the loyalty of employees, and by a policy oversight conducted by the safety department.”said Urns Fischer, vice-president of governance and risk management at Swiss Life, this policy must be clearly explained to employees:” We must do it, but do so very open, and certainly not monitor employees quietly.  ”

 As in any case of security, participants agreed that there was no technological answer able to face any eventuality.
