Putting a video clip in an iMovie Project?

I’m accomplishing this project for a friend regarding mine, and i am putting a lot of pictures from the project, and there is music from the background also, and post wanna decide to put a video playback in now there…but my spouse and i dont understand how Cause while i try to be able to drag the particular video within the project it wont put it on.
So can anyone realize how to do that

you should first import it to your imovie selection.click “file, ” then go to “import.”.
