Microsoft word 2003/having a problem with formatting?

Need every one of the help I’ll get…I got going along swimmingly till I struck some button and my text ventured into a reddish color and along at the side with the document this said formatted these and formatted there.
Anyone discover how I can be free from this condition I printed the paper but it came out with lines to the sides and lastly the crimson color art print.
