How do I create this simple animation?

I’d like 10 images looking successively, just about every for 1-2 minutes.As every single new image comes up, the previous the first is obscured.What will be the easiest way to do this I don’t have a graphics software aside from paint, so I’d should use a program that’s free of charge or has a trial.I am aware basic HTML/flash.
