How can I get blur to work in Photoshop?

I simply recently downloaded a totally free trial edition of photoshop cs5.1 in addition to I’m looking to use that blur instrument and it’s not working.I click on it, then MY PARTNER AND I right click on the monitor and decide my remember to brush size, but then when I attempt to use it nothing happens.I preserve pressing decrease and rubbing but almost nothing.I recognize it must be something truly stupid, I simply don’t really know what it is actually….the some other tools within the blur kind also you should not work in all

Are you around the right layer You need to be on some sort of layer by using color info.Also fine-tune the intensity/strength to about 70% and see if that succeeds.Make sure you’ve got no selections aroused by smacking Ctrl-D (pc) or maybe Command/apple-D (mac)…on your own keyboard for you to deselect every thing.
