Do I need microsoft net framework installed?

I reinstalled xp onto my computer over the weekend and everything is working fine,but I was in my add/remove programs today and I noticed that I had no Microsoft net frameworks installed .
I have run microsoft express updates and it does not show any high priority updates that need to be installed.Are they necessary?

If your computer is working fine then you don’t need to install. But there are some program which needs .Net Framework then these program will notify you then you can install.

Net Framework isn’t necessary. Until you install a program that needs it you’ll be okay without it.
