Can I only use 65 nm CPU’s?

I’ve a relatively old computer.I was wanting to upgrade the actual processor.currently, I have a very (2.13 ghz) Central 2 duo E6420.LGA 775 socket, 65 nm know-how.I get an intel system board, model i975x.I had been wondering if it will eventually support your 3.06 ghz CPU, LGA 775 socket, but 45 nm technologies.Will the following work If you’d like any other info you should e-mail me or tell me to email people.thanks.(The subsequent info may well or won’t assist the respond to my problem) Our full motherboard specifications are-

Sounds like you are considering upgrading into a faster core 2 pick – plus the 3.06 are the E7600 which is a 45nm processor chip.As they are both socket 775 that they both contain the same footprint and can work while in the board you’ve got.
PS I975x isn’t the mobo design, that’s that chipset it really is using.
