SATA HDD Power Supply?

im just a little new to SATA since all ive worked with before is usually IDE, now concerning just obtained a 160GB SATA HARDDRIVE and there are 2 electricity connector points.there is the normal FOUR pin port that’s the same when IDE but addititionally there is a much time one that is the same size as a SATA connector at my PSU.which should i use each does that matter

As suggested before you have available either, I individually would utilize sata one if you have it at ur psu, However employ one or other not together.
