Hi Toronto
Just what port will be IIS managing on (I suppose 80)
Just what port will be Apache (XAMPP) managing on (I suppose 8080)
Try editing \%windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Obtain the line that will says localhost
It provides 127.0.0.1 because the IP correct.
The default behaviour of a web cell phone browser is to visit port 80 if you can not specify another type of port.
So what is considered happening is the fact that your browser is directing you to definitely the IIS website – the particular default interface 80.
In the event you add a new line to your hosts document:
xampp-localhost 127.0.0.ONE PARTICULAR:8080
or maybe whatever dock your XAMPP Apache host is music playing on, in addition to save the hosts archive.
You should then have the ability to simply input “xampp-localhost” inside your browser and acquire the default htdocs folder of this XAMPP installing.
I want to know how we go!
Cheers
Brad.
