Annoying yellow highlight in Unix?
After i press Shift+8 within the Vi publisher in Unix, all instances of the word that cursor is usually on obtain highlighted in the code.(I’ve executed this some times by accident when WE forgot for you to press “I” initial.)
This yellow-colored highlight is really annoying and also I can’t learn how to get gone it.WHEN I Googled this and found that:established nohls can remove that highlights, but they will just come back again once i close and re-open that file.Help
Open the particular file (or set up it if getting older exist) termed ‘.vimrc’ at your residence directory. So for instance:
vi /.vimrc
Add this particular line into the file:
established nohls
This vimrc file can be a configuration track that gets read each and every time you wide open a record using vi/vim.
