Win 7 Reinstall .old files?

All right, so Not long ago i had a new catastrophic collision which expected me to jump through all sorts of hoops cutting out drivers etc to acquire my personal computer running again. As I’ve an external hard drive with every one of my personal files about it, WE opted to be able to just reinstall House windows 7 and start out of scratch.

With this in mind, do We need the ‘windows.old’ document Its having up regarding 130GB on my HARD DISK and I’d like it eliminated if it doesn’t serve a new purpose.

With thanks!

Windows likes to back-up your harddrive into a folder labeled “Windows.old” just before installing once more, if you do not reformat the disk drive. If that you’re sure you’re not missing anything at all (for example per game that saves your develop in it is Program Files folder) and then yes, you’ll be able to delete them safely for the reason that new Home windows install isn’t going to use anything from there.
