Is it normal for strangers who are your friend on facebook to poke you?

So Managed to get plenty of friends upon facebook who just have many mutual close friends so MY SPOUSE AND I add these people and loads of them always poke me personally and MY PARTNER AND I dont actually know these people In proper.Is in which normall in order to just poke someone everyone dont in fact know i would like to know so I could know plainly should poke back or not, haha.
